Honduras – José Santiago Villeda – Washed Parainema & Lempira Arabica

This refined specialty coffee comes from the mountainous region of Marcala, La Paz in western Honduras. At an altitude of 1,400 to 1,600 meters, producer José Santiago Villeda carefully and passionately cultivates exceptional coffees. The microclimate – with cool nights, sufficient rainfall, and volcanic soils – provides the perfect conditions for the slow, balanced ripening of coffee cherries.

Varieties: Parainema & Lempira

The varieties used, Parainema and Lempira, are Arabica hybrids developed for disease resistance but loved above all for their unique flavor profile. Together, they produce a coffee with distinct floral notes, bright acidity, and a long, elegant finish.

Processing: Washed

This coffee is washed processed: after harvest, the pulp is completely removed before the beans are dried. This highlights the clarity and purity in the cup and beautifully showcases the natural freshness of the Parainema and Lempira varieties.
