Steven Corveleyn – Founder & Head Roaster at The Last Bean
Steven Corveleyn is the driving force behind The Last Bean, where he combines his passion for exceptional coffee with decades of experience in technology and innovation as Managing Director and coffee roaster.
After a successful career of more than 25 years at the international technology company 3M – where he led R&D teams and holds multiple patents – Steven made a deliberate move into the world of Specialty Coffee in 2024. Driven by taste, precision, and sustainability, he is committed to helping customers discover truly high-quality coffee, roasted with care and craftsmanship.
Since birth and raised in Knokke-Heist (Belgium), Steven earned a Master’s degree in Chemistry in 1997. Outside of his work as a roaster, he finds energy in the gym and peace in nature, enjoying cycling, running, or skiing together with his wife and three daughters.

An Huys – Co-Owner & Operations Manager at The Last Bean
An Huys is co-owner of The Last Bean and, as Operations Manager, oversees the daily operations and quality control of the roastery. With her creative background, refined sensory skills, and extensive experience in both hospitality and international companies, she brings finesse to the heart of the organization.
In 2007, she started her own business in Knokke-Heist, where she further developed her passion for customer focus and people management. Today, she leads cupping sessions and the quality process of every roasted coffee with great attention to detail.
An is a mother of three, active in sports, and always on the move – just like her cheerful Pomeranian. Her hands-on mentality and straightforward communication style make her a stable and inspiring force within the team of The Last Bean.

Peter Huys – Sales Director at The Last Bean
Peter Huys is Sales Director and a member of the leadership team at The Last Bean. With a background in hospitality, renovation, and sales, he brings commercial strength and people-focused leadership to the roastery.
After more than 15 years of experience in hospitality – including as General Manager of Kinders Siska – Peter went on to build a successful renovation company. Today, he translates his passion for craftsmanship and customer focus into the world of specialty coffee, where he helps shape the brand’s commercial growth.
As a sporty family man with a strong social instinct, Peter is a dedicated ambassador of The Last Bean and its mission: high-quality coffee with respect for people and origin.
