Description

Ethiopia (ETH) Aramo – Grade 1, YIRGACHEFFE, Natural Process, Mixed Heirloom: Elegant and Fruity from the Highlands

Ethiopia Aramo Grade 1 Natural – Yirgacheffe, Mixed Heirloom is a refined, floral, and distinctly fruity specialty coffee from the world-famous Yirgacheffe region. This coffee is a true showcase of Ethiopian quality, complexity, and terroir — a real favorite among baristas and coffee experts worldwide.

Origin: Aramo, Yirgacheffe

The coffee comes from the village of Aramo, located in the heart of Yirgacheffe in the southern Sidama region. This area is internationally recognized as the birthplace of high-quality Arabica. The coffee is grown at an altitude of 1,900 to 2,200 meters above sea level, where cool temperatures and fertile soil allow the cherries to ripen slowly and develop a complex flavor profile.

Grade 1: The highest quality selection

Grade 1 is the highest quality classification for Ethiopian coffee. Only the most perfect, hand-selected beans qualify. This guarantees a clean cup with distinctive aromas and refined flavor nuances.

Mixed Heirloom: Indigenous biodiversity

The coffee varieties used fall under Mixed Heirloom – a unique mix of wild, indigenous Arabica varieties found only in Ethiopia. This genetic richness contributes to the floral and lively character of the coffee.

Natural Process: Natural and intense

The coffee is processed using the natural (unwashed) method, where the whole cherry is dried in the sun. This process enhances the bean’s natural sweetness and fruity aromas, resulting in a full body and rich complexity.

Flavor Profile

  • Aroma: jasmine, citrus blossom, tropical fruit
  • Taste: blueberry, peach, lime, floral notes
